The children feel very proud of themselves when they get to wear a cape for displaying one of our learning behaviours.
Play, Learn and Explore...
Welcome to Robin Class.
Mrs Gridley is the class teacher and Miss Hawkins is the class teaching assistant. We are joined some days by Mrs Lawrence, our HLTA, and Mr Newson for PE lessons.
Our days provide children with the chance to play, explore and learn in an exciting classroom and an inviting, fun outdoor space. Learning in Early Years is led by the children's interests and planning will adapt to them as the days and weeks go by.
Each day the children will explore, play and learn independently aswell as joining in with adult focused tasks, phonics, maths meetings and reading/story time.
We love to share our learning and once a week we meet with our Pre-School friends for a liasion session. We play games, sing songs and take time to be with friends.
We are excited this term to be joining up with Year 1 and Year 2 to explore some art projects during Messy Mondays.
Important Information
Your child will need their school water bottle every day.
A fruit snack is provided by school every morning. If they wish, your child may bring in a healthy snack for the afternoon. Please remember we are a nut free school.
PE is on Mondays and Thursdays. Your child will need to have a full PE kit in school. Please ensure all school uniform, coats and PE kits are clearly named.
This week in Robin Class....
We have had a wonderful term in Robin Class. We have loved exploring Space stories and rockets. The children have really engaged in this topic and we have loved seeing them learn, play and explore.
We have finished our term with Chinese New Year and design technology week.
We have focused on creating our own dragons. We made small folding dragons, read the story for Puff the magic dragon and created some large Chinese dragon costumes that we could all fit in! It’s been a lovely end to a busy term.
The children loved our Space topic. There are lots of activities on in Bury St Edmunds in the coming weeks, some are free!
50 years since man first walked on the moon, enjoy an immersive lunar experience at The Apex…
The internally lit installation gives visitors a surreal up-close experience by fusing lunar imagery and moonlight with a surround sound music Dan Jones.
